What is CCC?

The Creative Cities Convention was founded in 2018 in response to the rapid growth of the screen sector outside London, echoing a desire felt across the political and industry spectrum to better reflect communities across the UK. We're an annual event and visit a different city each year.

Who is CCC for?

The CCC is the UK’s only meeting place for creative people working in film, TV and digital outside London

When will the programme be available?

The full programme will be released a few weeks before the event. Stay tuned for updates on our website and socials or sign up to our newsletter to receive the latest information.

What are the event dates?

The Creative Cities Convention will take place from 6th - 7th May, 2026. Mark your calendars and prepare for an inspiring experience. We look forward to welcoming you!

Is the Skills Summit in the same venue as the Creative Cities Convention?

The Skills Summit is not in the same venue as the CCC but is in a venue very nearby to allow skills summit delegates access to the conference marketplace.

Where is CCC being held?

Camp and Furnace,  67 Greenland St, Liverpool L1 0BY

Will the screenings be in the same venue as the main conference?

The location of the screenings will be confirmed in the new year.

When will the Meet the Commissioner sessions take place?

There will be two sessions:

Wed 7th May 11.00am – 12.45pm

Thurs 8th May 4.30pm – 6pm

Scheduling will be based on each commissioner’s availability.

Will I be told which commissioner(s) I’m meeting beforehand?

Yes, we will let you know ahead of the convention which commissioner(s) would like to meet you and when.

Will the commissioner see my pitch before we meet?

The commissioners will receive the pitches of all the successful applicants they are meeting.

Can I speak to the commissioner before my meeting?

We are not able to connect you with commissioners outside of the sessions at the convention.

What happens after my commissioner meeting?

It is up to you to lead your one-to-one meeting and agree any further contact.

Do I need to buy a ticket to the Creative Cities Convention?

Yes, only convention delegates may attend the Commissioner One-to-One meetings. However, if you do not yet have a ticket when you find out that you have been asked to attend a one-to-one, then you will be able to buy a ticket at that time, if there are tickets still available.

What is the Skills Summit?

The Skills Summit is a two-day event.  Day One is for mid-level career freelancers who have a minimum of three professional credits.  Day Two is for young people with a proven interest in the creative industries.  Day Two is by invite via schools, FE colleges and apprenticeship programmes.

Who can attend the Skills Summit?

The Skills Summit is open to mid-level career freelancers and young people interested in the screen and creative content industries.

What will I learn at the Skills Summit?

Participants will gain practical insights through hands-on training as well as masterclasses discussing the most important topics of the day.

How do I register for Skills Summit?

For mid-level career freelancers with a minimum of three professional credits, you will need to reserve a place via Eventbrite.  Our Eventbrite page will go live at 10am on Thursday 2nd April.  You will then need to share your CV - to show your three professional credits - to ultimately secure a place.

For new entrants - all places are allocated through local FE colleges and schools and there is not an Eventbrite page for the new entrant day.

Can I meet more than one expert?

Yes you can meet more than one expert.
